MEI Data Manager – Governance

MEI Data Manager is a critical utility within the MEISTRO ecosystem designed to rigorously oversee, govern, and log the movement and usage of data flowing through all interfaces and integration points. It ensures strict adherence to client-specific data policies, actively applying and enforcing established data governance standards, managing any exceptions, and meticulously logging all data interactions for audit and compliance purposes.

Configuration and administration of MEI Data Manager are managed directly by System Administrators via the comprehensive Data Governance Administration Tool. Administrators can define, configure, and activate unique data policies tailored explicitly to each client’s requirements. These policies dictate precisely which types of data are permitted for consumption, storage, conversion, transmission, and export, as well as determining the allowable documentation from customers, clients, and third-party providers that can be uploaded into MEISTRO’s document management utility.

MEI Data Manager operates in close collaboration with the MEI Context Manager, ensuring that all data interactions conform to the contextually defined standards established by context management services. This partnership guarantees data accuracy, relevancy, and integrity across the entire MEISTRO platform.

Given its pivotal role, MEI Data Manager experiences a deliberately low rate of change, receiving minor enhancements predominantly aligned with major system releases. Interim policy adjustments or refinements, if necessary, are typically handled through MEI Connector and MEI Context Manager, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving data governance requirements without disrupting stability or compliance.

In essence, MEI Data Manager ensures robust data governance, compliance, and integrity across MEISTRO, systematically managing data lifecycles, protecting client information, and enhancing overall operational reliability and trust.
